An exciting off-season event, 15 coaches at Weber State University will be provided with Jeep Gladiators for a year, courtesy of the Young Automotive Group.
“We’re incredibly excited and grateful to award these outstanding individuals,” said Brad Taylor, Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Morgan’s general manager. “We have several Wildcats across the Young Automotive Group who consistently cheer for these teams. For us, we wanted to impact the figures that are able to push our student athletes to their full potential both in and outside of the classroom.”
The recipients — a list that includes recent champions such as volleyball coach Jeramiah Larsen and spirit squad director Summer Willis — will be honored and awarded during a celebration at Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Morgan. Each Gladiator will have a signature wrap featuring school sponsors the Young Automotive Group and GoldenWest Credit Union. GoldenWest is also offering Wildcat supporters a discount on insurance through QR codes on the wraps.
“The Gladiators have been some of our favorite vehicles of the decade,” Taylor said. “They’re versatile machines that are great for work and play, and we’re confident these coaches will come to a similar conclusion.”
Currently celebrating their 100 year anniversary, this event signifies a moment in a partnership the Young Automotive Group has long held with Weber State. The company sponsors several of the school’s most prominent athletic contests, and frequently invites them to charitable events held by their non-profit, the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation.
“We are absolutely delighted with the Young family’s dedication in nurturing and expanding our partnership,” said Tim Crompton, the university’s athletic director. “The Young family and Young Automotive Group are long time valued members of our community. We are excited to celebrate our deeper collaboration.”
The full list of coaches receiving a vehicle will be announced during the event — which will be free to attend and open to the public.
