Celebrating their acquisition of a staple Ogden County dealership, the Young Automotive Group will host a grand opening ceremony at their new Young Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Riverdale location on April 24 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The event — which will feature games, food trucks and a ribbon-cutting — will begin with speeches from Young Automotive Group executives as well as local community leaders. Following the festivities, attendees will be invited to tour the building and learn more about the operation.
“We’ve been looking forward to this celebration since we established our roots here,” says Jacob Sobers, general manager of the franchise. “It’s been amazing to connect with the community in the ways we already have, and we can’t wait to invite them over and show them who we are outside of the showroom. We’re here to champion Riverdale, and we look forward to the future.”
Prior to taking over the dealership from Asbury Automotive in October 2025, the Young Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Riverdale team made noteworthy efforts to draw close to those in the Weber County area. Sobers worked with staff to host a giveaway series called Duck Duck Jeep — an initiative where they parked a wrapped trailer in a new setting each day, and gave individuals clues to its whereabouts via radio and social media. Finders would then fill out a form through a QR code, and enter a pool of candidates for a chance to win a prize.
The franchise embarked on charitable endeavors early into their operation as well. Throughout November, the dealership partnered with the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation to deliver holiday meals to local families in need. They’ve also sponsored several programs and organizations in the community, including Bonneville High School’s athletics department, Fremont High School’s soccer team and Box Elder High School’s car club.
“What made this acquisition interesting was that we already had a reputation on this street,” says Sobers. “Young Subaru has been a philanthropic force in this area since 2011, and Young Mazda Ogden has done so much to support education and families facing hunger. We really wanted to put a stamp on how we give back, and we’re starting to make an impact because of it.”
In addition to hosting a grand opening ceremony for Young Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Riverdale, the Young Automotive Group recently acquired a third powersports franchise in Montana named Young Powersports Honda Yamaha. The dealership marks their thirteenth in the Young Powersports family.
“What’s undeniable about the Young Automotive Group is that it’s growing,” says Sobers. “There are opportunities here for people who want to move into a great position, and develop a meaningful career in this industry. The road ahead is amazing.”
