Just Keep On
Just a keep on a livin’ and a keep on a givin’
And a keep on a trying to smile.
Just a keep on singin’ and a trustin’ and a clingin’
To the promise of an after while.
For the sun comes up and the sun goes down
    And the morning follows night.
There’s a place to rest like a mother’s breast
And a time when things come right.
Just a keep on belivin’ and hidin’ all your grievin’
And a keep on trying to cheer.
Just keep on a prayin’ and a-lovin’ and a-sayin’
All the things we love to hear.
For the tide comes in and the tides goes out
    And the dark will all turn bright;
There’s a rest from the load and an end to the road
And a place where things come right.

My advice is be patient all good things will come to you.

The bamboo plant is a great example. For the first three years you water it, care for it, and nurture it. Very little seems to happen to reward all your effort, as only a small sprout emerges from the soil. it appears that the plant is simply not growing. And then at some point between the third and the fifth year, the tiny bamboo sprout can suddenly grow as much as three feet in a single day until it gets as high as ninety feet in a short period of time.
How can that happen? During the first three to four years while the plant is not growing above ground, it is actually growing below the surface of the ground, developing miles of an intricate root system capable of supporting its eventually massive height.
Life can be the same way. You may not see results at first, but as you labor, gain experience, and develop internal strength and capacity, your public success and capacity become more apparent.

While the storm is beating down hard on you, keep repeating, “This too will pass.”  And as the day follows night, it will!  The storm always subsides—and yours will pass. The clear day will come and the radiant heat of the sun will shine again. Some things just take time to work through.

You…….I mean YOU……..are a gift to all of the world. Just keep on going, never give up, be patient and as the bamboo tree you will rise to be the great person you are.

Have a great weekend and enjoy every moment where you are.
Rest and enjoy.
Share your thoughts.
I Love y’all,

  1. It’s always interesting that after the storm we can look back with gratitude and with a different perspective realizing that the storm made us stronger.

  2. Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. Emerson

Although I believe we should learn from our blunders and absurdities vs. forgetting them, Emerson was wise in believing we should start each day anew!

  3. One of my favorite quotes is – “Don’t lose hope. When the sun goes down the starts come out.” There is always hope for a better day.

  4. You cannot put rocks into a jar and expect to get water out. Create your own new day by trying hard to improve yourself even if you don’t see the difference immediately the smallest things can make a big difference.

  5. I really enjoy the Bamboo analogy. This is so true in many different things I do and experience. I need to remember I am always learning in struggle.

  6. If you give up trying you give up living. Your life is what you make it, always has been, always will be. If you are not changing and growing you will get left behind!
