Young Automotive Group celebrates new Nissan location with grand opening ceremony

Cutting the ribbon at their newest location, the Young Automotive Group held a grand opening ceremony at their recently acquired Nissan dealership on Oct. 9.

“It was a special experience to have the community gather with us for this celebration,” said Brad Taylor, general manager of Young Nissan Riverdale. “Our business strives to put people first, and our ability to build relationships is a measure of our success. This facility is amazing, and we can’t wait to see what our future here will lead to.”

The event — which featured games, food trucks and opportunities to earn prizes — kicked off with speeches from Riverdale mayor Braden Mitchell, Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce president Chuck Leonhardt, Nissan Motor Corporation representative Phillip Sanchez and Young Automotive Group executives. Attendees then walked outside to watch the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

As part of the festivities, radio station KUBL The Bull set up a remote broadcast where they gave away small prizes and held a drawing for tickets to Garth Brooks Delta Center concert. Young Nissan also offered lube and filter services for $49.99 to add to the celebration.

“Bringing this dealership into our group has been one of our crowning achievements of the year,” said Spencer Young Jr., president of the Young Automotive Group. “We’ve developed a distinguished list of manufacturers that we partner with, and we’re so proud to have finally added Nissan to the list. We’re doing business in a great area, and I see this being a move that provides our employees with opportunities to grow. We’re thrilled with the team we’ve established here, and love that we were able to celebrate them.”

The Young Automotive Group’s sixth dealership on Riverdale Road, Young Nissan’s acquisition was made final on June 16. It became the family business’ first to carry new vehicles from the maker Nissan, bringing their total number of automotive manufacturers represented to 18. Following this grand opening, the organization will host a similar celebration for their new Young Kia facility on Main Street in Layton.
