Young COE is holding Wilderness First Aid classes from Oct. 11-12.

A 16-hour course designed to teach more than a typical urban first aid training, the event will be held in Centerville, Utah.

Classes will cover injuries and illnesses that are common when traveling or working in remote areas. Attendees will learn proper bleeding control methods, heat and cold injury prevention treatments and how to not only identify, but treat medical issues related to diabetic and cardiac emergencies.

Courses will take place between 8am-5pm with seats costing $425 per person. Lunch and refreshments are included.
