Young Powersports is teaming up with the Utah Avalanche Center to host Know Before You Go classes.

Helping to keep snowmobile riders informed before winter starts, the classes will take place at multiple Young Powersports locations.

“In 1 hour, you will see the destructive power of avalanches, understand when and why they happen, and how you can have fun in the mountains and avoid avalanches,” Utah Avalanche Center’s website said.

Each class will be held from 6-7pm, with the schedule going as follows:

• Young Powersports Layton on Nov. 28
• Young Powersports Logan on Nov. 30
• Young Powersports Pleasant View on Dec. 5
• Young Powersports XL Centerville on Dec. 7

There will also be a transceiver practice event at Young Powersports XL Centerville on Dec. 14 from 5-7pm. Join one Know Before You Go class and the transceiver practice for a chance to be entered into a BackCountry 101 on-snow avalanche training worth $250 in value.
