Layton, UT – March 26, 2024 – Finalizing the completion of their 145,000 sq. ft. project, the Young Automotive Group will host a grand opening ceremony for their new headquarters building on March 29 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The event will feature speeches from the Young Automotive Group’s executives as well as local government officials, including Layton city’s mayor Joy Petro, Davis County’s commissioner Bob Stevenson and the Davis County Chamber of Commerce’s president Angie Osguthorpe. Adding to the ambiance, Dave Bowen’s Orchestra will perform at the ceremony and vendors such as Crisp Catering, Behind the Soda Bar and Batch Baked Goods will provide refreshments to attendees.
“We’re thrilled to be showing the community our new headquarters,” Oliver Young, the Young Automotive Group’s chief operations officer said. “It’s already become a staple part of our company, and it’s something that will help us increase our capabilities and opportunities.”
Located just off of Main Street in Layton at 613 W 500 N, executives and employees from the company began moving into the new facility late last year. The building houses nearly 250 office spaces, a gallery, and an automotive parts warehouse.
Also located in the headquarters are the offices for the Young Automotive Group’s nonprofit, the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation. It’s at this building that the foundation will provide resources to those who volunteer with their KIND Fund program — an initiative that provides clothing and essential assistance to students who have an urgent or persistent need.
“Housing this many departments and teams under one roof is something we know will streamline our operations and productivity,” Young said. “This space provides us with the best area to make decisions regarding business, expansion and community involvement.”
2024 marks the Young Automotive Group’s 100th year of business. Founded by Jack Olsen in Morgan County, the Young Automotive Group has become a 29 dealership conglomerate that reaches Utah, Idaho and Montana. The company has several new and used car dealerships as well as powersports, fleet, truck and trailer, collision, carwash, service and body shop operations.
“We look at this facility as not only a place of innovation, but an homage to our legacy,” Young said. “Its opening is a symbol for what we’ve been able to accomplish as well as what will lead us to our 200 year celebration.”
Along with the new headquarters, the company plans to celebrate several other grand openings and groundbreakings this year, including one for their new Young Truck and Trailer location in Kaysville, which will hold its grand opening on April 26.
