On Wednesday night, a customer named Katherine Beach gave our Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Layton location a fantastic Google Review that spotlighted the efforts of multiple people who went above and beyond to uphold our values. Here’s her story:
“There are literally no words that can describe how grateful I am for Jacob, Hannah, Dennis, Aaron and Kinton. I drove all the way from Fort Lauderdale Florida to attend Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah for a day and to continue onwards to a big Overland trip that I had planned since last year for the weekend.
Starting my way back out of one of the trails in Moab, my front passenger brake line gave out and I was left without brakes. To say that I was terrified is an understatement. Apart from the fear of coming down the trail, it was the worry that I would not be able to fix the brake line in time for the rest of my trip. I had driven over 35 hours and 2,400+ miles. It was only day one and my new 2024 Wrangler 392 was crippled.
I visited every shop in town and received the same response from everyone. Your jeep is too new and we do not carry parts for it. 2 weeks was the fastest ETA for my brake line. I was completely shattered and heartbroken.
In hopes of a miracle I went to the official Jeep pop up and also received bad news. Until one of the workers pointed me to the very last tent where they said a dealership was there selling some things. That’s where I met Jacob, Hannah and Dennis. I told them my story (apart from also being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy a few weeks prior) and they looked up the part in their system. Also 2 weeks away. Disheartened, but jokingly I said “well, we are surrounded by so many jeeps, can’t we just pull one off one of these? lol” Jacob instantly thought of an idea and got to making phone calls.
In an incredible turn of events Jacob said that they had the part and that it was going to be on its way soon for install later that night. I could not believe what he was saying. I instantly broke down in tears. Literally the miracle I was hoping for.
The biggest detail was that the part was coming from another 392 off the Morgan CJDR sale lot and the mechanics taking it off, Aaron and Kinton, were going to drive 4.5 hours to Moab each way to install on mine! That was a 9 hour drive! I couldn’t believe it! No one nowadays would even consider going out of their way for 20 minutes.
Aaron and Kinton got there around 1am with my donor part and in just about 15 / 20 min the job was done. They were the kindest and sweetest young gentlemen. They finished and headed right back to be ready for work that same day!
I will FOREVER be grateful and never forget this experience. When a team comes together to help a complete stranger. My trip could have quickly ended if it wasn’t for these AMAZING people. Thank you all so much from the depths of my heart and soul. You will never know how much your hard work and kindness truly means to me. You made this girls dreams come true. I sincerely could not have done anything I did without you.
