The Young Automotive Group’s Truck and Trailer location in Kaysville celebrated the grand opening of their new dealership on April 26.
The event began with speeches from Young Automotive Group executives. Davis County’s Chamber of Commerce then led a ribbon cutting ceremony — celebrating the facility’s official opening.
“It’s been such a thrill for us to hold this event,” Young Truck and Trailer’s general manager Randy Taylor said. “This new dealership is something we’ve looked forward to opening for a long time, and it’s satisfying to see everything come together.”
Isuzu Commercial Truck of America attended the event as well and presented the dealership with an award. Vendors Mountain Donuts and Sweet Nothings catered the ceremony.
Located on Deseret Drive, Young Truck and Trailer houses both sales and service departments as well as products from 30 different brands. Equipped with 30 service bays, Taylor says that the dealership will be able to eliminate wait times.
“We pushed our previous facility to its capacity,” Taylor said. “This new location will help us take care of customers at a whole new level, and our loyal customers will feel the difference pretty quickly.”
Along with the opening of the new dealership, the Young Automotive Group is currently celebrating 100 years of business. Established in 1924 by Seldon “Jack” Olsen, the company has over 30 operations across Utah, Idaho and Montana.
The Young Automotive Group began selling trailers in the 1990’s out of what is now their Young Buick GMC dealership. Expanding their operations, they acquired a new dealership in Logan, Utah and opened their former Kaysville location in 2017.
“The Young Automotive Group has been such a good community partner,” Kaysville mayor Tamara Tran said. “We are so thankful for the work that they do within our community, the leadership role that they play and their involvement and willingness to contribute to great causes.”
