Hosting a celebration to mark the start of construction, Young Ford Brigham City held a groundbreaking ceremony at their build site on July 12 at 10 a.m.
“This is definitely a historic day for our dealership,” said Jason Evans, the general manager of Young Ford Brigham City. “We love the community here, and are excited to soon be operating out of a facility where we’re better able to serve them.”
The ceremony featured guest speakers, food trucks and swag for attendees. Many leaders from the Young Automotive Group attended, including the company’s president Spencer Young Jr.
“This is an exciting development in the expansion of our group,” said Young Jr. “We make sure that each of our locations have what they need to set industry standards. Jason’s team has done an incredible job, and we hope this facility gives more people a chance to see that.”
Led by Tom Stuart Construction, the project is scheduled for completion in 2025. It is then that the dealership will move from their current location at 323 S Main Street to their new address at 1150 W 1100 S.
Along with this construction, the Young Automotive Group is celebrating 100 years of business in 2024. The company, which was founded in Morgan, Utah by Seldon “Jack” Olsen, has over 30 automotive and powersports operations across Utah, Idaho and Montana.
Young Ford Brigham City first joined the Young Automotive Group after being acquired in 2016. A few years after beginning operations, they went through a renovation process to improve their dealership. They’ve not only been consistently recognized as a notable location within the company, but became the Young Automotive Group’s first dealership to win a JD Power Dealer of Excellence award in 2024.
“We’re incredibly honored by this accolade,” said Evans. “Our team is always striving to raise the bar, and accomplishments like this show we’re moving in the right direction.”
The Young Automotive Group has begun construction on other projects in 2024 as well, developing a new facility for their Young Mazda Idaho Falls location, a new building for their Young Subaru dealership in Ogden and a resort for company trainings in Morgan, Utah. Official completion dates and grand opening ceremonies will be announced.
