Introducing the community to their new location, Young Mazda Idaho Falls hosted a grand opening celebration for their dealership at South Pioneer Road on April 11.

“This has been something we’ve anticipated for years,” said Tyler Ross, general manager at Young Mazda Idaho Falls. “It’s been amazing to invite people here, and to show them what we’ve built.”
Bringing in face painters, food trucks, a photo booth and lawn games, the ceremony began with speeches from individuals such as Ross, Young Automotive Group president Spencer Young Jr., Bonneville County commissioner Karl Casperson, Mazda USA market representation manager Rosaria Peffer and Mazda USA regional marketing manager Chris Guo. Following the ribbon-cutting, attendees were invited to take part in the festivities and tour the building.

Along with celebrating the grand opening, those at the event also had the opportunity to assemble pantry packs, which are weekend meal kits that feed hungry children for two days. An effort overseen by the Young Automotive Group’s non-profit, the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation, all 1,000 meal kits were delivered to the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket, who will distribute them throughout the community.
Originally located on Holmes Avenue in a temporary facility, Young Mazda Idaho Falls first entered the area in 2023. Their former dealership has since been vacated.
“What we love about this building is that it not only represents our dedication to excellence in the dealership space, but adds to the incredible landscape here,” said Young Jr. “We strive to make each of our locations a place that communities can depend on for not only excellent service, but support as well. It’s why we host pantry pack events, and engage in charitable endeavors. We look forward to more opportunities working with individuals here.”

Though their entrance into Bonneville County is fairly recent, the Young Automotive Group first began business in Idaho by acquiring their Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat and Young GMC locations in Burley during the 1990’s. In 2015, the company established their Young Powersports division in the southern part of the state as well — an operation that has expanded to eight dealers across two states.
Apart from completing the Young Mazda Idaho Falls building, the Young Automotive Group recently finished construction on a new facility for their Young Subaru dealership in Ogden, and are developing a new space for their Young Ford Brigham City operation. Leaders at the company will also be opening a corporate retreat in Morgan, Utah, known as the Mountain Creek Lodge.
“What makes working at the Young Automotive Group special is our commitment to excellence and growth,” said Ross. “The steps to succeed here are established, and we have several great training programs. For those striving to elevate their career, new opportunities are always arriving.”
