Rocky Mountain Raceways and Young Automotive hosted and participated in a Parents Empowered event this morning at RMR.  YAG and RMR were excited to be a part of this event as it fits in with the Young Caring for our Young initiative of educating, and protecting our youth for our future.

ParentsEmpowered.org is a media and education campaign preventing and reducing underage drinking in Utah by providing parents and guardians with information about the harmful effects of alcohol on the developing teen brain, along with proven skills for preventing underage alcohol use.

Along with the press and speaking event, a great installation was placed at RMR of a brain being wrecked by a speeding car, symbolizing the dangers of alcohol on a teens brain.

Various media outlets were present and speakers included Mayor of West Valley City, Ron Bigelow, West Valley Police Lieutenant Rob Hamilton, RMR General Manager Mike Eames, YAG Marketing Director Winslow Young, and other community partners.
