In addition, we’re pleased to announce that Spencer Young Sr. has been nominated as a Layton Hometown Hero and a parade Grand Marshal. The city surprised him with the message this afternoon at the Young Automotive Group’s headquarters — driving police cars and fire trucks under his office balcony.

Layton will award Spencer during a free concert at Ed Kenley Amphitheater on June 30 — where accolades will be accepted by his family on his behalf. He will then be featured during the city’s parade on the 4th of July.

Spencer was nominated for the impact the Young Automotive Group has had in the Layton community over the past several decades as well as his work with the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation. Our Chief Adventure Officer and our nonprofit’s founder, we’ve provided over $6 million to various school foundations and charitable initiatives throughout Young Caring for Our Young’s lifetime.
