Trust is a very strong and integral part of the YAG culture. Here are some ideas to help build trust and strengthen our culture of trust in our business, your department and within yourself.
Behaviors that can help fill your reservoirs with trust:
-Say what you mean, and mean what you say
-Demonstrate respect (people crave respect and acknowledgement; give it!)
-Be transparent (hiding things creates mistrust, openness creates trust)
-Right wrongs (don’t say you are sorry–behave as though you are sorry)
–Show loyalty, particularly to those not present.
-Get better (show your commitment via continuous improvement; results create credibility)
-Listen quick (and be quick to listen)
-Keep commitments (model the desired behavior; walk your talk)
-Extend trust (trust creates reciprocity; extend it conditionally to those who are earning trust, abundantly to those who have established trust)
finally a great quote; “Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
So what do you have to share with the YAG regarding Trust?
There is an unspecified prize on your participation on this valuable topic. I have chosen a certain number of responses and when that number is hit that person will receive the unspecified prize. In that past just ask those who have won an unspecified prize and it is worth sharing as all will learn from you and we will all be edified.
Thanks for all your trust in the YAG,
Have a BIG week and make BIG things happen.
